Brownlove and Friends

In the hidden grottoes and secret gatherings beneath the stars, Brownlove's presence is felt as an otherworldly force. To listen to Brownlove is to risk one's soul, for their music is imbued with the whispers of entities that dwell in the spaces between worlds. It is a seductive descent into madness, a siren song that beckons with the promise of forbidden knowledge and unearthly pleasure. The air vibrates with harmonies that seem to come from the very fabric of the cosmos itself, as if plucked from the strings of reality by hands unseen. Those who dare to listen find themselves changed, their minds touched by the cold fingers of the unknown, their dreams haunted by an abyss that gazes back, forever hungry, forever insatiable.

HEAVYCHEST

HEAVYCHEST is a sonic journey. 

A project aerodynamically designed to transport the listener to spatial otherness. A voyage of sounds venturing into new territory with every release. The project’s self-produced styling allows any listener to step between auditory dimensions. To bop to Indie bedroom pop, soften to stripped-back singer-songwriter ballads, and, in the case of the newly released E.P. ‘Lake Echo’ embrace the formerly forgone feeling of authentic folk.

In 2022, HEAVYCHEST collaborated with international artist BENEE on the single ‘SUNDAY926’. Produced by Andre and mastered in the USA by Randy Merrill, this ethereal pop ballad showcases the depth of writing and heavyweight recognition now synonymous with the project. This first international feature, along with a second through Kip Nelson (USA) and three classic releases through NiceGuysRecords, means HEAVYCHEST soundwaves have long since left South Pacific shores. A forgotten nostalgia now fills the chests of easy listeners from LA to Amsterdam.

As the project expands, so does Andre’s appetite for reflection and experimentation. Now in full bloom, it is the listener's duty to stop and smell the flowers.

Staff After Party

Bursting through the wake of NZs live electronic scene, their performance at the final Welcome to Nowhere stunned the audience. Utilising a deep sense of engagement with the crowd and an air of mystery surrounding their sets, eyes were wide and spirits were high, as they witnessed a live birth, death incarnate playing runescape, a couple of good blokes laying down the energy, and a mysterious figure helping themselves to any and all the stage had to offer. (Some say this mysterious person is a distant relative of Akon). We have no idea what to expect this time, and that's just the way we like it with this cohort of creative creatures.

BIG FLIP THE MASSIVE

Dive headfirst into BFTM’s intense journey as he unleashes his Russian roulette-style rolodex, tossing convention in the trash and embracing a chaotic, randomized narrative. This experimental project strips away flashy colors, laying bare the unfiltered truth beneath. It's an unyielding and intense ride, offering unpredictable glimpses into the relentless iterations of this ever-evolving spectacle.

Fueled by a memory bank, the music resonates, meticulously curated to summon an unheard, powerful piece. Each performance is a compelling and dynamically randomized departure, breaking free from the chains of repetition. bftm maintains the fortress and pillars of the song, with striking visuals joining in to craft an immersive story. In this musical odyssey, he not only curates but delves into past revelations, honoring both the poignant and joyous encounter with a past self and the transformative moments. Brace yourself for an authentic and intensely dynamic experience that promises to captivate the Meow stage.

Pork Crackle

Pork Crackle is a techno blending queen mixing more than sub genres but also emotions and inner human desires into the dance floor experience. She crafts a deep dive into what we are as a dancing species and aims to connect us with ourselves and our smoky basement community with bass lines akin to the heart beat.
